Books to help with kindergarten adaptation
Reading with children stories about their peers who are taking their first steps in kindergarten can be a very supportive strategy during kindergarten adaptation.
We encourage you to choose such books that show heroes experiencing the full spectrum of emotions, including fear, uncertainty or longing, and not just „they are brave”, „polite”, they part without a problem and „listen to you”.
„Ignatius Goes to Kindergarten”.” is a booklet in which you will not only find kindergarten ups and downs, but even recognize the reality of a kindergarten very similar to ours.
A „Action Adaptation”.” Agnieszka Stein's book is already a classic for parents to look at themselves during the first separations with their child, and thus best support the child during this time.
