Montessori preschool ItsyBitsy official British Council partner in British Council Advantage program
Bilingualism is a very important part of our program, and since the beginning we have been taking care of the linguistic development of our preschoolers in both Polish and English. Now we have decided to give our oldest preschoolers, almost graduates, who have already mastered the art of writing and reading to a basic degree, the chance to earn their first Cambridge language certificate. We have become an official partner of the British Council as a member of the British Council Advantage program. As part of this cooperation, children in our kindergarten have a unique opportunity to prepare for their first Cambridge language exams at the YLE (Young Learners English) level. Our teachers gain access to training materials and extensive support from a valued educational partner.
From an early age, children in our preschool can acquire language skills under the guidance of experienced teachers. Children learn English through daily language immersion, which means that English becomes a natural part of their daily interactions and Montessorian work.
In addition, willing children can take an exam tailored to their abilities at the end of their preschool adventure. Taking the Cambridge YLE exams is not only about learning the language, but also about building self-esteem, learning planning and responsibility, as well as developing communication skills and achieving specific educational goals. As a result, children leaving our kindergarten have the opportunity to earn their first prestigious language certificate recognized around the world. Such a certificate opens the door to further educational success and provides a solid foundation for further English language learning. And, as always, we will make sure that the exam does not become a source of stress or overshadow the children's joy of daily, organic absorption of the language and the satisfaction of progress made at their own pace.
In August 2025, we hope to celebrate the success of our preschoolers for the first time at a Cambridge Certificate Ceremony complete with preschool diplomas!
